A bit about our programmes...
A unique part of the Conscious Kids Programmes philosophy is our passionate staff who make the very best free play facilitators. They have a vested interest in making sure the day is amazing for the children, and they have the most experience caring for and managing children. If you are enthusiastic and positive about being in the outdoors in all weather conditions and genuinely enjoy being actively involved in children's play, then this could be the role for you.
Educators and Play Workers will play a crucial part in the running of the sessions. You will be given training and assistance to ensure you are comfortable and learn the expectations and safety measures we place on supporting children.
At Conscious Kids, our programs are designed as an antidote to the fast-paced, technology-filled world many children now inhabit. Our children’s lives are so filled with structure that this programme aims to give them a break from instruction and allow them to play as they like, for as long, within a framework of respect for those around them and the environment.

Outdoor Classroom Day is hands-on learning in nature. An EOTC experience at your doorstep, either on your school grounds or at a local reserve.
Activities may include shelter construction, fire starting and cooking, whittling, harakeke harvest, weaving, art activities, group games, and ecology exploration.

Junk Play is a pop-up loose parts playground where the kid's mission is to reuse and repurpose the materials, with the only limit being their imagination.
While children play and enjoy themselves we draw links to Te Marautanga o Aotearoa including connections to social sciences, health & physical education, maths, and technology.

Experience the magic of Traditional Māori Games that foster wellbeing, confidence, and connection. Sessions weave together physical movement, storytelling, and nature-based learning in a safe, inclusive space.
Grounded in Māori values and led by cultural leader Wiremu Sarich, these sessions invite tamariki to discover their strengths through joyful, hands-on play.
